We are so excited to introduce your kids to all things Freestyle! Our goal for these days will be to make sure your child has a great day training with their friends in a fun, inclusive, supportive environment with one of our amazing certified coaches. Freestyle Whistler strives to foster a love of skiing that will last a lifetime, and we are thrilled to share the stoke with your kids!!

Freestyle Canada offers any interested athlete one “Try Freestyle Day” annually. If you have not participated in our programs this year, please fill out the waiver available below.
Athletes who have already done a Try Freestyle Waiver will need to purchase the “Club Athlete” membership from Freestyle Canada/BC HERE. This membership is valid from July 1 – June 30. The membership allows your athlete to access our March Break Airbag, Spring Sessions in April and May, as well as Trampoline Camps in June.
As we are a not-for-profit operating on Whistler Blackcomb. All athletes will require a lift reservation to ski with us on the Try Freestyle Day.
Drop off is at 8:30 am and pick up at 3:30 pm – between Lot 7 and the Mid-station Excalibur Gondola (the usual WB Ski School Drop off area).
Due to our COVID protocols, we need to minimize the number of people in the area, so we ask parents to do a quick check-in and drop your child with Chris Muir, who will then direct your child to the right coach and group. All athletes and parents must wear masks for drop off and pick up.
Our home base is our new Gemini Freestyle Centre under the Blackcomb Gondola above the old Solar Load. We have a clubhouse at the centre with secure storage to store the kid’s packs. The groups will leave the drop off area at Lot 7 and head straight to the Gemini Freestyle Centre to drop their bags and plan for the day.
Your child’s coach will chat with the kids to get a feel for what they want to get out of the day. Do they want to learn a specific trick – maybe they’ve wanted to try a 180 or want to learn how to slide a box or rail? Maybe they want to hit the airbag or perhaps ski with their friends and see what Freestyle is all about.
The groups will spend the day zooming around Blackcomb Mountain trying all things Freestyle at their comfort level. This may include: jumps in the park and airbag, trying boxes and rails, practicing skiing switch (backwards) and playing around in the bumps. Our certified coaches will make sure all athletes are only trying things and training within their ability – and most of all, HAVING FUN!
