About the Club

Freestyle Whistler is a non-profit ski club, which has been coaching both competitive and recreational freestyle skiers, using Freestyle Canada qualified coaches, since 1988.

If your child is passionate about wanting to take to the air in the park, shred the bumps or soar in the pipe, then Freestyle Whistler offers a safe and fun path to progress those skills.

The club offers Mogul, Slopestyle and Halfpipe instruction for recreational and competitive skiers with season-long training on weekends from December until April. There is additional coaching available at competitions and during school holidays and School Professional Development days. Athletes must be at least 10 years old at the time the program starts to be able to participate and must be able to ski Black Diamond runs in a parallel stance.

Club members can also participate in a variety of training opportunities during the summer and fall, including camps on Blackcomb Glacier, water-ramp training, along with Dryland and Trampoline sessions.

Club skiers have the opportunity to compete at regional and provincial level events and must compete at the Timber Tour level once they join the club. Many have gone on to become high performance athletes who have excelled at major events, including the Olympics, World Championships and X-Games. Club members consistently move on to the provincial and national freestyle ski teams and compete at the National Championships.
