Freestyle Whistler Program
Whistler Freestyle offers skills training and competitive programs for the sport of Freestyle Skiing with a focus on Moguls and Slopestyle/Halfpipe training, and the development of strong acrobatic and all mountain skiing skills.
The full winter program provides approximately 45 training days throughout the ski season.
- December 1st, 2018 to April 6th, 2019 ***Mid-Season Break February 15-17****
- Christmas Camp December 27 – December 30 and January 3 – January 6
- 3 BC Timber Tour events this year, locations TBD.
- Meet at 8:50 am inside Glacier Creek Lodge on Blackcomb and ski from 9am – 3pm with a break for lunch from 11:15 – noon.
Skiers are divided into different groups based on ability, age and focus of desired freestyle discipline at coaches discretion. Athletes must be at least 12 years old as of December 1st to be able to participate and must be able to ski black diamond runs confidentially. If your child is aged 11 or under and just starting out in Freestyle and skiing at the Super Youth competition level, please contact Whistler Blackcomb to participate in their Freestyle Development Program, which will be more suitable. Freestyle Whistler does not offer coaching at Super Youth events.
- The full winter program Early Bird cost is $1800 if registration is done before October 31stand $2050 after that date.
Lunch is not included in Club programs. Athletes are asked to pack a lunch or bring money to purchase lunch from Glacier Lodge.
*All athletes require a CFSA membership in addition to club registration. Athletes competing in the Timber Tour events will require a Can 3 license – click here to get your license.
Hybrid Program: ***New for 2018/2019***
This program is designed for athletes who really want to ski the whole mountain and have fun doing it. Athletes will train each weekend on the mogul course and in the terrain park as well as get out and explore the great terrain that Whistler Blackcomb has to offer. This is the ideal program for athletes who aren’t ready to specialize yet on a discipline or for athletes that want to be good at all aspects of skiing.Athletes can compete at the Timber Tour Competition level, which includes 3 BC events this year.Athletes are free to choose whether they would like to be in a competitive stream or not. 1stYear Club athletes are highly recommended to choose this program.

Athletes will continue to develop and improve on the skills they have learned at the Freestyle Development level, developing more advanced techniques in the moguls, expanding their repertoire of tricks and building their speed with confidence. Coaches will work on all the fundamental skills as well as help advance the skiers’ competition readiness. Athletes can compete at the Timber Tour Competition level, which includes 3 BC events this year. Selected qualified skiers will have the opportunity to compete at Junior Nationals in Quebec later in the season. Athletes from Freestyle Whistler have a longstanding history of success in the Mogul discipline. The club has seen several athletes go on to compete at international level, including Olympic gold and silver medalist Dale Begg-Smith. Our club skiers have brought back medals from BC Championships and Junior Nationals.

Park & Pipe
Whistler Blackcomb offers some of the best terrain park facilities in the world, from beginner to advanced features. Skiers will continue to develop the skills they have learned at the Freestyle Development level, expanding their repertoire of tricks and building their confidence on both rails and jumps. Half pipe training is available dependent upon readiness of the half pipe. Our coaches have a high level of acrobatic literacy with a strong emphasis on safely progression. Coaches will work on all of the fundamental skills as well as help advance skiers’ competition readiness. Athletes can compete at the Timber Tour Competition level, which includes 3 BC events this year. Selected qualified skiers will have the opportunity to compete at Junior Nationals at Calgary Olympic Park, Calgary, Alberta in mid-March. Club skiers have consistently been on the podium the past few years at Timber Tour, BC Championships and Junior Nationals level. Several club members have gone on to represent Canada in both the slope style and half pipe disciplines, including 2014 Olympian Yuki Tsubota and X-Games gold medalist Simon d’Artois.

Single Day Weekend Program:
Single Day passes are a great way to participate part time in the program or to try it out before you commit to a full season or for athletes that have other sport commitments. Included in the price is the local Whistler Timber Tour stop. This program is available to all disciplines.
- The Single Day Weekend is $1200 before October 31st and $1500 after that date.
This is available to all club members who wish to add 13 extra training days to the regular program that will take place on scheduled Fridays throughout the regular club season.
- The Freestyle Friday add on program will be $600 before October 31stand $800 after that date.
This is designed for athletes who want to take their skiing this winter to the next level. This is open to full-time club members looking to step up to Canada Cup level. This program will include 12 extra training days on Fridays as well as coaching costs at the BC/Western Canada Cup stop. Please email to discuss if this is for your athlete.

2017/2018 Sea to Sky Student Ski Pass
All club skiers are eligible for a WB Sea to Sky discounted pass, but names have to be submitted to WB by the club, so you will need to indicate this on your registration form and email [email protected] to have your name added to the list. Once these names have been submitted to WB you can then purchase your pass by calling the Reservation Center at 1.800.766.0449 (option 2) or go into Guest Services to pay. Cost of this pass is $449 plus GST.
If you have to cancel the program due to injury (or other extenuating circumstances based on case by case), the club will refund your fees on a prorated basis, minus a $250 non-refundable deposit if cancelation happens once the season has started. There will be no refunds after March 15th and no refunds if a skier’s ski pass or club membership is revoked due to disciplinary action.
